Apple: Neues Manager-Duo soll TV-Abteilung ausbauen

Nach der Pilotfolge der Apple-Serie „Planet of the Apps“ können sich Apples TV-Anstrengungen eigentlich nur verbessern – die Reality-Show markiert bereits die untere Niveaugrenze.

Und damit es demnächst wieder bergauf gehen kann, hat sich Apple jetzt prominente Unterstützung ins Content-Boot geholt. So hat das Unternehmen heute bekanntgegeben, dass die beiden ehemaligen Sony-Manger Jamie Erlicht und Zack Van Amburg zukünftig die Fernseh-Geschicke Apples lenken und dazu direkt mit Eddy Cue zusammenarbeiten sollen.

Während ihrer Zeit bei Sony Pictures Television haben Erlicht und Van Amburg unter anderem die Produktion von Better Call Saul, The Blacklist, Bloodline, Breaking Bad, The Crown, Damages, The Goldbergs, Justified, Preacher, Rescue Me, The Shield und Sneaky Pete begleitet und mit Amazon, Hulu und Netflix zusammengearbeitet.

Eddy Cue, bei Apple als „Senior vice president of Internet Software and Services“ tätig, kommentiert:
