{"id":44309,"date":"2013-08-11T14:23:32","date_gmt":"2013-08-11T12:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ifun.de\/?p=44309"},"modified":"2013-08-11T14:24:08","modified_gmt":"2013-08-11T12:24:08","slug":"lese-tipp-die-geburt-des-boo-dah-ling-sounds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ifun.de\/lese-tipp-die-geburt-des-boo-dah-ling-sounds-44309\/","title":{"rendered":"Lese-Tipp: Die Geburt des &#8222;Boo-Dah-Ling&#8220; Sounds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kelly Jacklin, Gr\u00fcnder des Audio-Dienstleisters Jacklin Studios erinnert sich in seinem Blog-Eintrag &#8222;<a href=\"http:\/\/jacklinstudios.com\/docs\/making-of-158-marimba.html\">The History of the &#8218;Boo-Dah-Ling&#8216; Sound<\/a>&#8220; an die sp\u00e4ten 90er Jahre und die Arbeiten an einem seiner damaligen Projekt: 158-Marimba.<\/p>\n<p>Um seinem Freund Jeff Robbin bei der Fertigstellung einiger SoundJam-Funktionen unter die Arme zu greifen &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/SoundJam_MP\">SoundJam<\/a> war bis 2001 eine Winamp-Alternative f\u00fcr den Mac, wurde von Apple gekauft und bot letztlich die Grundlage f\u00fcr iTunes &#8211; konzipierte Jacklin einen Dreiklang-Ton, der die Nutzer des Audio-Players \u00fcber den Abschluss eines Brennvorgangs informieren sollte. <\/p>\n<p>Jacklins Ton, dessen Entstehungsgeschichte das <a href=\"http:\/\/jacklinstudios.com\/docs\/making-of-158-marimba.html\">kleine Essay<\/a> detailliert veranschaulicht, wurde nicht nur in iTunes und im OS X-Installer eingesetzt, sonder letztlich auch auf dem iPhone benutzt um dort \u00fcber das Eintreffen neuer SMS zu informieren. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/images.ifun.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/dreiklang.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images.ifun.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/dreiklang.jpg\" alt=\"dreiklang\" width=\"640\" height=\"252\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/images.ifun.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/dreiklang.jpg 640w, https:\/\/images.ifun.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/dreiklang-300x118.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Eine spannende kleine Geschichte und gute Sonntagslekt\u00fcre f\u00fcr Audio-Nerds aus dem damals noch jungen Apple-Universum. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Fast forward quite a few years, and the iPhone comes out. I was not involved in development of the iPhone [&#8230;] I went to the Pro Apps group at Apple instead. So imagine my surprise when the iPhone ships, and the default text message tone is&#8230; &#8222;158-marimba&#8220;, now going by the clever (and not actually accurate, from a music theory perspective) name &#8222;Tri-Tone&#8220;.
